Máximas represents the highest expression of La Coste de Los Andes. Sourced from our most select rows at altitude and crafted through exhaustive plot mapping and careful manual selection, these limited cuvées embody depth, purity, and refinement. Máximas is the pinnacle of our organic philosophy—wines born from extreme terroirs, made with precision, and designed for extraordinary longevity. This is the first vintage of Máximas that has been released, with only 5000 bottles produced.
WINE MAKING
Thinning and selection of clusters in the vineyard. Manual harvest in 15kg crates. Selection of clusters and berries in the winery. Pre-fermentative carbonic maceration. Microvinification with indigenous yeasts in concrete eggs and 500 litre French oak barrels. Prolonged post-fermentation maceration where malolactic fermentation takes place, Aged for 14 months in first and second use French oak barrels
TASTING
Deep voilet in color, the aromatic profile is extremely fine, combining deep black fruit (plum and berries) and fresh herbs, with toasted notes of nutmeg and tobacco from the French oak barrels. The palate is broad and enveloping, yet elevated with a sharp tense freshness that continues to the finish, flavours of blueberries combine with black pepper and fresh local herbs such as jarilla and suico. the tannins are very ripe and sily, leading to a powerful and profound finish.
